Job summary

Blackwell HR, a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a Full-Time HR Generalist to support 6-8 clients, handling payroll, benefits, and HR documentation.

You'll work remotely with a diverse client base across the US, building client relationships, improving processes, and ensuring accurate HR records while staying aligned with our values of Determination, Integrity, Service Driven, Teamwork, and Innovation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience in generalist, operations, or client-facing role.
• Experience supporting a small business, nonprofit, startup, or lean HR team is a plus.
• Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, recruiting, and employee relations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems.
• Familiarity with platforms such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Workday, Gusto, Rippling, or similar systems.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-through.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support 6-8 different clients with HR services across industries.
• Own tasks from payroll processing to benefits administration and HR documentation.
• Support client relationships as a point of contact for routine HR questions.
• Manage payroll processing for multi-state employees and 1099 contractors.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and administration.
• Create and maintain employee communications, policies, and notices.
• Assist with projects like recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
• Maintain HR systems and records with accurate data.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with HR Principals on complex issues.
