Job summary

Blackwell HR is a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, Delaware, serving clients across the US. This full-time, remote role supports 6-8 client organizations, handling payroll, benefits, onboarding, documentation, and compliance with a hands-on HR focus.

You’ll collaborate with experienced HR professionals, gain exposure to multiple industries, and develop client-facing skills while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality service in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience (generalist, operations, or client-facing role).
• Experience supporting small businesses, nonprofits, startups, or lean HR teams is a plus.
• Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, employee documentation, onboarding, recruiting, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Support 6-8 different clients across industries and HR needs.
• Process payroll for multi-state employees and 1099 contractors, time/attendance, deductions, and reporting.
• Administer benefits enrollment and changes; troubleshoot issues with guidance when needed.
• Create and maintain employee communications, policies, and HR documents for clients.
• Support employee relations and advise when escalation is required by an HR Principal.
• Assist with projects such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and engagement.
• Maintain HRIS data and keep records organized and up to date.
• Identify process improvements and help implement efficient workflows.
