Blackwell HR, a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a hands-on HR professional to support 6-8 clients with varied HR needs. You will handle payroll, benefits, and HR documentation while collaborating with experienced principals.

This full-time, remote-friendly role offers base salary 70k–78k, full benefits, PTO, and a culture that emphasizes integrity, service, teamwork, and innovation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience in generalist, operations, or client-facing roles.
• Experience supporting small businesses, nonprofits, startups, or lean HR teams.
• Proficient with payroll processing and HRIS systems.
• Familiar with multi-state payroll and 1099 contractor handling.
• Strong confidentiality and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support client relationships and respond to routine HR questions.
• Process payroll for multiple clients, including multi-state employees and contractors.
• Administer benefits enrollment and changes; troubleshoot issues.
• Create and maintain HR communications and policies.
• Assist employee relations and escalate when needed.
• Support HR projects including onboarding and performance.
• Maintain HRIS data and records.
• Identify process improvements and implementation.
