Job summary

Blackwell HR, a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, DE, seeks an HR generalist to support payroll, HR documentation, and client HR programs. You will work remotely with a national client base and collaborate with HR Principals on complex matters.

You will manage payroll for multi-state employees and 1099 contractors, maintain accurate HRIS records, and contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience in an HR generalist, operations, or client-facing role.
• Hands-on payroll processing and HRIS management.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and 1099 contractors.
• Comfort working remotely and collaborating with a team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for assigned clients, including multi-state employees and 1099 contractors.
• Prepare HR documentation, policies, procedures, notices, and other HR documents for clients.
• Support employee relations and assist with client HR programs and initiatives.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Keep HRIS data, benefits records, and documentation organized and up to date.
