Job summary

Blackwell HR, a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a full-time, W2 HR Generalist/Operations professional. This remote-friendly role serves clients across the US, handling payroll, HR documentation, and employee relations.

You will manage payroll for multi-state employees and contractors, support onboarding, recruiting, and performance programs, and collaborate with HR Principals on complex issues. Four weeks PTO, fully remote events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in HR generalist, HR operations, or client-facing roles.
• Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, recruiting, and employee relations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Workday, Gusto, Rippling, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for assigned clients, including multi-state employees and 1099 contractors, time and attendance, deductions, and pre/post-payroll reporting.
• Create and maintain employee communications, policies, procedures, notices, and other HR documents.
• Support routine employee relations and partner with HR Principals on complex situations.
• Assist with projects such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and other client HR programs.
• Maintain organized HRIS data and documentation; identify opportunities to improve recurring processes and implement better ways of working.
