Job summary

Blackwell HR is a woman-founded HR consulting group based in Wilmington, Delaware, serving clients across the US. The firm seeks an HR Generalist/Operations professional to manage payroll, benefits, onboarding, and client HR programs in a fully remote environment.

You’ll own HR processes, respond to client needs, and collaborate with HR Principals on complex cases. A 3+ year background in HR and a bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience, preferably generalist / operations or client-facing role.
• Familiarity with core HR functions (payroll, benefits, onboarding, documentation, recruiting, employee relations).

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for assigned clients, including multi-state employees and contractors.
• Support employee relations and routine HR questions, escalate to HR Principals when needed.
• Create and maintain employee communications, policies, and HR documents for clients.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain HRIS data, benefits records, and documentation accuracy.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and help implement improved processes.
