Job summary

CAI is seeking an HR Compliance Manager to lead the HR compliance program across a multi-state workforce, including contingent workers. This remote, full-time role partners with HR, Onboarding, Legal, and Governance to minimize risk and drive policy excellence in an evolving AI-enabled work environment.

The successful candidate will bring extensive HR compliance experience, leadership ability, and a track record of collaborating across departments to maintain audit readiness and policy integrity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Experience drafting HR policies and procedures and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the HR compliance program and policy ownership including annual review.
• Monitor and interpret HR laws; advise on wage/hour, leave, pay transparency, and covenants.
• Prepare workforce reports and internal affirmative action plans; ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee background checks, drug screens, and MVR standards; ensure compliant adjudication.
• Identify required compliance training and track rollout and completion.
• Support internal/external audits and client questionnaires with evidence.
• Monitor AI governance and review AI tools for compliance, privacy, and risk.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Onboarding, Legal, Governance, and leadership to manage risks.
