Job summary

CAI is seeking an HR Compliance Manager to lead our compliance program across a multi-state workforce, including employees and contingent workers. The role partners with HR, Legal, and Governance to implement policies, reporting, and risk mitigation while navigating emerging AI risks in HR.

Remote work is supported, and the candidate should bring strong leadership and deep HR compliance expertise to drive audit readiness and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or legal studies, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive HR compliance or employment law across multiple states.
• 2+ years of leadership experience and policy drafting.

Responsibilities

• Own Employee Manual and HR compliance policies, SOPs, and annual updates.
• Set program priorities and maintain the compliance calendar with metrics for leadership.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment laws and advise on policy changes.
• Lead background checks, drug screens, and MVR standards and adjudication.
• Develop AI governance policies and monitor AI use in HR, recruiting, and onboarding.
