Job summary

CAI is seeking an HR Compliance Manager to lead our HR compliance program, policy ownership, and risk management. This role partners with HR and legal to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws across a multi-state workforce, including AI-related risks as we transform HR with technology.

The position will be remote and full-time, reporting to executive leadership, with responsibility for audits, reporting, and training to keep CAI audit-ready and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, legal studies, or related field.
• Seven or more years of progressive HR compliance or employment law experience, including multi-state.
• Two or more years of experience managing or leading people, and drafting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own HR compliance policies and SOPs, including annual review and employee acknowledgment.
• Set program priorities and roadmap; maintain the compliance calendar and tracking tools; report status, metrics, and risks to the VP and leadership.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment laws; advise on policy changes.
• Prepare workforce reports and affirmative action plan; analytics for monitoring compliance.
• Own background check, drug screen, and MVR standards and adjudication framework.
