Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Housing Support Specialist to coordinate lease extensions and housing needs for displaced policyholders. The role blends empathetic client support, vendor coordination, and detailed lease management to ensure uninterrupted housing and a superior service experience.

You will manage communications between insureds, adjusters, and landlords, monitor expirations, and resolve in-stay service issues while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of experience in leasing, property management, customer service or account management.
• Previous experience in insurance, temporary housing, property management or real estate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote Sedgwick’s mission, strategic vision, and value proposition to adjusters and policyholders
• Serve as a key point of contact for adjusters and landlords during relocation, ensuring consistent communication and empathetic support
• Manage the full lease extension process including approvals from adjusters, updating lease terms with landlords and vendors
• Proactively monitor upcoming lease expirations to prevent service interruptions
• Coordinate and resolve in-stay service requests including furniture exchanges and maintenance
• Collaborate with landlords, property managers, and vendors to execute timely service solutions
• Investigate and resolve issues related to property conditions, damages, and vendor performance
• Maintain financial and operational records including client ledgers and extension costs
• Document all communication and actions in internal systems with accuracy and timeliness
• Identify risks, delays, or service failures and escalate with ownership and urgency
• Maintain high-touch service for VIP or complex claims
• Handle multiple claims simultaneously while meeting SLAs and deadlines
