Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead preconstruction for the High Voltage Infrastructure unit. You will manage estimating, bid development, and handoffs to execution, ensuring accurate, competitive budgets for substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.

Role emphasizes shaping win strategy, working with BD, Engineering, Procurement, and Ops, and standardizing processes across a growing HV portfolio. Fully remote with interview-based location expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction/estimating within HV transmission or heavy electrical construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role with pricing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction through estimating, budgeting, and bid development.
• Own the stage-gate process, ensuring scope clarity and risk review.
• Shape win strategy, pricing philosophy, and differentiation for proposals.
• Direct take-offs, unit pricing, and labor assumptions for HV scope.
• Perform constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations.
