Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy for our High Voltage Infrastructure unit. This fully remote role leads all preconstruction activities from opportunity identification through bid finalization and handoff to execution.

You will own estimates, budgets, and pricing for transmission, substation, and switchyard scopes while partnering with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong executive communication and presentation skills are required.
• Balance of leadership and collaboration across Business Development, Engineering, Procurement and Operations.
• Experience building and leading an estimating team with standardized processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction team through all estimating and proposal development stages.
• Own preconstruction stage-gate process across HV portfolio for consistent scope and risk review.
• Partner with Business Development to evaluate opportunities and shape win strategy and pricing.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity for HV scope across substations, switchyards, and lines.
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations to ensure buildable estimates.
• Manage bid solicitation, pricing and qualification with Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing to executive leadership and ownership.
• Ensure clean handoffs from preconstruction to project execution with key assumptions and contingencies.
