Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects.

The High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager role is fully remote and focuses on leading preconstruction activities for high-voltage electrical infrastructure, including substations, transmission lines, renewable interconnections, BESS, and industrial power distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• ~7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• ~Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• ~ Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• ~ Electrical codes and industry standards
• ~ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for high-voltage electrical projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies that align with client objectives and company goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception through construction turnover.
• Procurement and vendor management: solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals.
• Ensure alignment between project estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
