Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is hiring a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead preconstruction for HV infrastructure, including substations and transmission lines.

This fully remote role focuses on planning, estimating, scheduling, risk, procurement strategy, and client coordination from concept to handoff. You will oversee budgets, constructability, and execution strategies, while coordinating deliverables across engineering, operations, procurement, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• ~7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Electrical codes and industry standards familiarization.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for high-voltage electrical projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies that align with client objectives and company goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from project inception through construction turnover.
• Analyze engineering designs, specifications, and bid documents; review labor and material pricing.
• Serve as the primary preconstruction contact for clients, utilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
