Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Power Delivery - Project Manager to oversee high voltage substation and/or transmission line projects, focusing on the South and Southwest regions. This role is based in Houston, Austin, or Fort Worth with the option to work remotely from a mutually agreed location.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget and quality, develop client relationships, and market WSP’s Power Delivery services to existing and new clients. Occasional travel is required to client sites and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field in Power & Energy.
• 12 years of post-education PM experience in Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years leading engineering/construction teams for HV/EHV projects.
• 5+ years leading teams for HV/EHV substation or transmission line projects.
• Experience with IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, contractors.
• Strong PM processes: contract, risk, schedule, EV, QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV/EHV Substation and/or Transmission Line projects.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and report progress.
• Lead pursuit activities including Go/No-Go decisions, risk mitigation, pricing reviews.
• Participate in contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Oversee technical reviews and QA/QC adherence to plans.
