Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Health Plan Specialist for a fully remote, contract role based in the United States. The position handles high-volume inbound calls, assisting members with benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage questions while delivering accurate, empathetic service.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a call center and strong communication skills; experience in health insurance or Medicare/Medicaid is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of call center experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple screens and applications.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Experience in health insurance industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid processes preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handle 50-70 inbound calls per day.
• Assist members with benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage questions.
• Research and resolve member concerns from start to finish.
• Accurately document all customer interactions and resolutions.
• Navigate multiple applications and systems simultaneously.
• Utilize available tools and resources to provide accurate information.
• Maintain ownership of member issues through resolution.
• Deliver professional, empathetic, and high-quality customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to support customer needs and service goals.
