Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Health Plan Specialist to support members remotely with questions about benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage. You will handle inbound calls and resolve issues end-to-end in a customer-first environment.

The role is fully remote with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM CST, offering a pay rate of $21.00/hour and benefits where eligible. Potential for contract-to-hire based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience handling health plan benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage inquiries.
• Strong communication skills with a patient, customer-first approach.
• Ability to research and resolve complex member issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Handle 100% inbound customer service calls regarding health plan benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage questions
• Manage 50-70 calls per day during peak Open Enrollment periods
• Research and resolve complex member issues from start to finish
• Maintain ownership of customer concerns through complete resolution
• Document interactions accurately and thoroughly
• Utilize online tools and resources to support members efficiently
• Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
