Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist I to support patient health information requests from a remote home-based role in the United States. You will handle front desk duties, answer calls, and assist with medical records processing while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

The role focuses on processing requests for patient records, data entry, and ensuring accurate chart preparation across platforms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to use phones, fax, and printers.
• Professional verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process patient health information requests per policy.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of facility software and records systems.
• Respond to patient record requests and coordinate with internal/external sources.
