Job summary

State Collection Service, Inc. is hiring Remote Health Care Customer Service Representatives to handle inbound and outbound calls regarding insurance, billing, and payments in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities include resolving billing issues, providing information to patients, arranging payments, and ensuring compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA. Remote workers must be based in the United States and meet technical requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a call center or customer service handling public calls.
• Knowledge/experience of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking.
• Flexible to evening and weekend shifts as needed.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Bilingual candidates provide additional support for bilingual calls.

Responsibilities

• Makes and answers calls in the name of the client to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Responds to information requests from patients/accounts in a professional manner.
• Acts to gain payment or arrangement of payment on behalf of the client.
• Follows client-specific protocols and policies when carrying out duties.
• Investigates and responds to client enquiries as needed.
• Enters and monitors payment arrangements.
• Adhere to all FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and other applicable laws.
