Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in technical business development, preferably in grid automation or power systems.
• Deep understanding of U.S. utility market dynamics, standards (IEEE, IEC 61850), and digital substation architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SaaS or subscription-based business models in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with DERMS, DLR, and network state estimation technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 30% - domestic and international - may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. market growth by identifying utility/industrial automation opportunities and shaping market strategy.
• Act as grid automation SME; lead presales activities and support solution design across architectures and integration workflows.
• Contribute to IEEE/IEC working groups to shape grid automation standards and interoperability frameworks.
• Build strategic partnerships and represent ABB at industry forums to evolve offerings like SSC600, SMU600, and CogniEN.
