Job summary

Calix is seeking a Senior Director, Compensation to lead its global compensation function from anywhere in the United States or Canada. You will establish and govern compensation philosophy, partner with executives, and ensure programs attract and retain top talent.

This role requires deep expertise in executive compensation, equity, market pricing, and governance, with extensive experience in a public company environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, finance, business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global compensation function and establish strategic direction worldwide.
• Advise COLT and executive leadership on compensation strategy, talent compensation competitiveness, and governance.
• Develop and coach the compensation team with a high-performance culture.
• Design, govern, and administer global compensation programs including salary structures, reviews, incentives, equity, and geographic pay.
• Assist with executive compensation benchmarking and board materials for Compensation Committee.
• Lead development of analyses and materials for the Board and Compensation Committee.
• Evolve compensation philosophy to stay competitive and scalable.
• Lead job architecture, leveling, and market pricing strategies.
• Direct annual compensation planning cycles (merit, promotion, equity, incentives).
• Partner with Finance on investments and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with global compensation regulations and emerging legislation.
• Oversee compensation tech, data analytics, reporting, and process improvements.
• Provide leadership for mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
