Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Compensation Partner to lead global compensation initiatives, model salary ranges, and ensure internal equity across regions. You will advise Talent Acquisition and HR Partners on offers below Director level and manage annual/mid-year cycles with a focus on market competitiveness.

You will leverage MarketPay data, build financial models in Excel/Google Sheets, and align roles to market structures while navigating regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience partnering directly with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners on compensation matters.
• Expert-level data analysis and quantitative modeling using Excel/Google Sheets.
• Direct involvement in end-to-end annual compensation planning cycles in a tech/high-growth environment.
• Experience supporting global compensation programs across multiple international hubs.
• Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills for pay discussions across teams.
• Growth mindset with high attention to detail; willingness to improve processes.
• CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification via WorldatWork is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners on offer recommendations and compensation guidance below the Director level to attract and retain top global talent.
• Maintain MarketPay benchmarking tools and compensation ranges to ensure external competitiveness across all business units.
• Build complex financial models and conduct data analysis to support annual salary range refreshes and ad-hoc business requests.
• Perform ongoing internal equity audits to identify and mitigate pay disparities across teams and regions.
• Program manage annual and mid-year compensation cycles to deliver merit and equity adjustments.
• Evaluate job descriptions and profiles against industry benchmark data to align internal roles to market structures.
• Monitor global technology compensation trends and regulatory requirements to maintain compliant Total Rewards programs.
