WP Engine is seeking a Principal Global Compensation Manager to design and lead our global compensation programs for a distributed workforce. You will work within the Total Rewards function to drive pay strategies, equity design, and transparency, leveraging Workday for global cycles and integrations.

The role requires a deep expert in compensation with 10+ years in high-tech/SaaS and a hands-on, data-driven approach to collaborate with executives and business partners across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience within the high-tech/SaaS industry.
• Workday SuperUser: Hands-on configuration experience in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Global domain expertise: Deep knowledge of global compensation structures and regulatory environments.
• Strategic modeling: Master-level compensation modeling, data analysis, and financial planning.
• Influence & collaboration: Ability to influence and present to executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Compensation Leadership: Develop, evolve, and lead global cash, bonus, and equity compensation strategies.
• Pay Transparency & Equity: Champion global pay transparency readiness and design compliant structures.
• Global Cycles: Oversee annual merit, promotion, and equity refresh cycles in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Executive & Equity Compensation: Support executive compensation design and equity modeling.
• Job Architecture & Scaling: Design global job architecture, leveling, and geographic salary structures.
• Business Consulting: Advise senior leaders on compensation decisions and organizational design.
• M&A Integration: Drive compensation due diligence and post-merger integration.
