Job summary

National Power is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. The role reports to the CISV Service Manager and involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and on-site service at diverse locations.

Ideal candidates will have a HS Diploma, an Associate degree in a related field, and Generac certification. Travel is required; factory training may occur in Milwaukee as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• Military electrical training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and time management required.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generator sets (5-5000 kW) and parallel systems.
• Troubleshoot ATS, bypass isolation, and transfer types; perform PM services.
• Perform load bank testing and commissioning on new generators.
• Assist other technicians on large jobs or complex issues.
