Job summary

National Power is seeking a Generator Service Technician in our Apex market to maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment. You will report to the CISV Service Manager and work on projects ranging from routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, start-up/commissioning, and assisting on large multi-person jobs. A High School Diploma is required, with additional electrical/mechanical training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• Experience in US Air Force Electrical Power Production, Navy Electrician’s Mate, or generator/UPS field service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generator sets and parallel systems 5–5000 kW.
• Troubleshoot ATS and bypass isolation/closed transition types.
• Perform preventative maintenance on oil/filters and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits.
• Start-up/commissioning on new generators and generator systems.
• Assist other technicians on large or complex jobs.
