Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment across our Raleigh, Goldsboro, Apex markets in NC. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and start-up/commissioning on new generators and systems.

Expected duties include diesel/gas engine troubleshooting, load bank testing, and assisting other technicians on large projects.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed.
• Must be able to account for time spent on jobs and travel.
• Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid driver's license.
• Must have good computer skills and be comfortable with Microsoft software to include Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDF's).
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generator sets and parallel systems (5-5000kW).
• Troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches and related systems.
• Conduct load bank testing to verify operating conditions.
