Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician in the Apex, NC area to maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment under the direction of the CISV Service Manager.

The role involves troubleshooting diesel/gaseous engines, performing load bank tests, and traveling to job sites. Training may be provided, including Milwaukee sessions; work-from-home duties and security of company property are expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator/UPS field service technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators (5-5000kW) and parallel systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and Automatic Transfer Switches; perform start-up/commissioning.
• Load bank testing; assist other technicians with large jobs; travel to job sites.
