Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment in the Forest City, NC area. You will diagnose and service ATS, bypass isolation, and generator systems, perform load bank testing, and assist on large multi-person projects.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, an associate degree in a related field, and preferred certifications such as Generac Power Systems or military electrical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator/UPS tech background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and service ATS, bypass isolation, and generator systems.
• Load bank testing and commissioning on new generators; assist other technicians on large jobs.
• Document job status and recommendations; travel as required.
