Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair on generator sets and associated electrical equipment across Raleigh, Goldsboro, Apex, and surrounding NC markets. You will report to the Service Manager and operate primarily from home with travel to customer sites.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, problem-solving, and willingness to stay for extended travel as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator/UPS field service technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators (5-5000kW) and parallel systems; troubleshoot ATS, bypass isolation, and start-up/commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel or gaseous engines: ignition components, injection systems, valve adjustments.
• Perform load bank testing to verify operation and code compliance.
• Assist other technicians on large or complex jobs.
