Nelnet seeks a remote GenAI Platform Engineer to lead the build and deployment of Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform solutions on Google Cloud for higher education and SLED clients.

You will translate the Forward Deployed Engineer backlog into working agentic solutions, manage model integrations, RAG pipelines, and data connections, and collaborate with Data and AgentOps teams to ensure quality and security in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic solutions in production.
Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred; other GenAI platforms considered for ramp-up on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI applications on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
Build live API and tool-calling integrations for real-time client actions.
Deliver high-quality, auditable code with security considerations.
Collaborate with Data Engineer and AgentOps Engineer on data and deployment.
