Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a remote Full-time GenAI Engineer to lead the build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on the Gemini Enterprise Platform. You will translate client needs into scalable, production-grade GenAI integrations and RAG workflows, collaborating with data and deployment engineers.

The role focuses on model selection, tuning, and evaluation, with strong emphasis on grounding, safety, and FERPA-sensitive considerations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred; ramp on Google stack.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and grounding techniques.
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration patterns and A2A protocol.
• Cloud data, compute, and access-control services (IAM, BigQuery, container platforms).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using the platform capabilities.
• Integrate Agent2Agent (A2A) and multi-agent orchestration patterns where needed.
• Build live API and tool-calling integrations for real-time actions.
• Maintain solution architecture docs and reusable playbooks.
