Nelnet is seeking a GenAI Solutions Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of Gemini Enterprise AI solutions on Google Cloud. This role focuses on agentic assistants, RAG pipelines, and model integrations for higher education and SLED clients, collaborating with Data and AgentOps engineers to ensure quality and delivery.

The position supports a hybrid work environment with in-office and remote work, requiring alignment with Nelnet's engineering standards and client needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI/agentic solutions in production.
• Experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI predecessors preferred.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompts, fine-tuning, grounding for education/SLED data.
• Cloud data/compute basics and access-control for AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding capabilities.
• Integrate A2A protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
• Build live API and tool-calling integrations with client systems.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions on schedule.
