Job summary

Velora seeks a Bookkeeper to join our fast-growing Professional Services team. You will serve as a full-charge bookkeeper for moderate complex Medium customers, ensuring accurate records and an excellent client experience. You’ll leverage AI to move faster and maintain high-quality services.

You’ll own end-to-end bookkeeping, work with AI tools to streamline reconciliation and reporting, and collaborate with peers across North America in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong nonprofit bookkeeping fundamentals and accuracy.
• Deep experience with Aplos or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills with automation and templates.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and improve speed and accuracy.
• Maintain ~70% of time on billable client work.
• Understand client needs and provide solutions for clarity.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive updates.
• Adhere to processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvements and share knowledge.
