Job summary

Velora is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our remote Professional Services team. You will perform full-charge bookkeeping for Medium customers, using AI-native tools to accelerate reconciliations, donations, payroll, and accounting clean-up while maintaining high accuracy.

You will work autonomously with a strong emphasis on customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement, aiming for a 9–10 NPS and clear, proactive communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting and nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean and compliant.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems; learns workflows fast.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support to move faster.
• Builds trust with customers through proactive updates and clear expectations.
• Outcome-focused and deadline-driven; proactive in identifying risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
• Maintain ~70% of time on billable client work.
• Provide feedback to enhance information clarity and processes.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score by proactive communication.
