Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the Budget and Spend (BAS) solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will contribute to SAC Analytics Designer based web apps, building interactive UI components, optimizing performance, and collaborating across teams to deliver scalable, secure applications for government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience with REST APIs and data formats like XML/JSON.
• Strong OO design, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Public Trust clearance and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAC or other web tech.
• Review requirements and interface designs for front-end features.
• Develop interactive UI/UX components and optimize performance.
• Document changes and participate in code reviews with the team.
