Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the BAS web application for a Washington, DC based customer. The role is remote supporting federal work and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will contribute to SAC Analytics Designer-based dashboards and widgets, while collaborating with teams to deliver scalable, high-performance UI features and API integrations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience with REST APIs; able to create/consume APIs and work with XML/JSON.
• Experience in OO programming/design, web development and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud or other web technologies.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX designs feasibility.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate with team members.
