Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the BAS solution, designing and building interactive web apps for a cloud BI platform. The role is remote, supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAC Analytics Designer to develop new features and enhance existing ones, using JavaScript, SAC, and related web technologies. The position emphasizes performance, scalability, and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs; working with XML/JSON data.
• Experience in OO programming/design and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong programming and communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAP Analytics Cloud or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs; develop interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance; optimize for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feasibility feedback on UI/UX designs.
• Document changes and updates to applications.
