Job summary

SMX is seeking a motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to contribute to the Budget and Spend (BAS) solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

The position involves building enterprise web applications with SAC Analytics Designer and other web technologies, delivering interactive UI/UX components, optimizing performance, and collaborating across teams to ensure scalable, secure delivery for federal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in software engineering.
• 2 years of front-end web development experience (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience with REST APIs and data formats like XML/JSON.
• Strong OO design and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise front-end web applications using SAC or other web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
• Review requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
