Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, support, and implement the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will develop enterprise UI components using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, work with SAP Analytics Cloud, review requirements, participate in code reviews, and optimize performance for scalable web apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of frontend software engineering experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Understanding of JavaScript intricacies and web development fundamentals.
• Experience with REST APIs, XML/JSON data formats, OO design, debugging.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or web technologies.
• Develop and implement interactive UI/UX components and optimize performance.
• Review requirements, participate in code reviews, and document changes.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure scalable, secure frontend solutions.
