Job summary

SMX is seeking a motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, and support the BAS cloud solution for a Washington, DC client. This remote role requires Public Trust clearance and US citizenship.

You will develop interactive UI components using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, integrate REST APIs, and optimize front-end performance across platforms. Collaboration with a cross-functional team includes code reviews and design feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience.
• 2 years of software engineering experience working across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, experience creating and consuming APIs, and data formats like XML/JSON.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise web applications using SAC or other web technologies and enhance UI/UX components.
• Review requirements and interface designs and contribute to technical feasibility.
• Develop, test, and document front-end features; participate in code reviews and optimize performance.
