Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Proficient calculator skills for moderate math.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers with tact.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Ability to input information into a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal relationships with staff, customers and guests.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and assist with arrival and departure.
• Input and retrieve guest information during registration.
• Code electronic keys and prepare welcome folders with room information.
• Verify and imprint credit cards and handle payments.
• Answer phones and relay messages clearly.
• Close accounts at checkout and resolve guest concerns.
• Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods.
