You will input guest information into the computer system, manage room assignments, handle payments, and provide local recommendations while maintaining professional communication and a calm demeanor under pressure.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with tact.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly welcome and provide accurate information.
• Complete registration by inputting information, confirm guests and room rate, and issue keys.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization; handle payments and currency exchange.
• Promptly answer the telephone and relay messages to guests.
• Close guest accounts at check-out and resolve guest dissatisfaction when needed.
• Field guest complaints and develop effective solutions.
• Remain calm during emergencies and heavy hotel activity.
• Comply with attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
