Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Houston seeks a friendly Front Desk Associate to assist guests from arrival to departure. You will input guest data, process check-ins, and promote HEI brands during daily duties.

The role requires excellent communication, math accuracy for billing, and the ability to handle high guest volumes with professionalism and care. A strong team player with flexible schedule is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations with accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Ability to input information into computer systems accurately.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and guests.
• Able to adapt communication to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and provide accurate information on hours and local attractions.
• Complete registration using the computer system and set room rates based on guest needs.
• Verify and process payments, post charges to guest accounts, and manage currency exchanges if needed.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages to guests and staff.
• Close accounts at checkout and handle guest satisfaction issues, offering appropriate solutions.
• Investigate guest complaints and resolve issues with discretion and empathy.
• Maintain calm during busy periods and emergencies, following hotel procedures.
• Adhere to attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
