Job summary

HRI Hospitality is seeking a Guest Service Agent for our Front Office. You will check in and out guests, process payments, and provide information to guests and visitors. You must maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and promotions, while promoting positive guest relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a Guest Service Agent in a hotel/resort (or comparable in other customer focused industry).
• Minimum six months cash handling experience required.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal form.
• Must be able to clearly communicate in English with guests, visitors, management and coworkers to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.
• Must be able to provide legible communication and directions.
• Must be able to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
• Ability to input and access data in computer.
• Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Front Desk.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
• Provide information to any guest or visitor inquiry.
• Maintain knowledge of all hotel features, services, hours of operation, room types, rates, and promotions.
• Handle guest requests and resolve problems following six-step procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Process all guest registrations, verify information, and collect payments as required.
• Operate front desk and cash handling procedures, balance cash and complete cashier reports.
