Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd in the United States is seeking a Logistics Sales Business Development Manager to drive new business and expand existing client relationships in a fully remote capacity.

The role focuses on growing market share for freight forwarding services, encompassing international and domestic freight, with a performance-based commission structure and a base salary range of $50k–$150k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of field sales in freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of international and domestic freight (import/export).
• Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills.
• Willingness to travel; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Win, retain and develop customers through hunting activity and setting appointments for meetings with customers.
• Assess prospective accounts for profitability, significance or strategic value to target bids.
• Build rapport with customers and collaborate with Product teams, sales channels and local Station Management.
• Increase gross profit and market share while developing ongoing customer relationships.
• Follow up on offers and conduct ongoing client development.
• Monitor shipment cuts and implement counter measures.
• Analyze key customers and execute strategic sales aligned with growth plans.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet/exceed targets and recommend solutions to customer needs.
