Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to join our Foodology team. The role focuses on building long-term, value-based relationships with food ingredients accounts, with a strong emphasis on consultative selling and territory development.

You will travel within the assigned US territory, collaborate with local sales, purchasing and operations, and strive to improve customer satisfaction while maintaining accurate sales pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the Food Ingredients industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred).
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Strong business acumen across manufacturers, distributors and end-users of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term, value-based relationships with accounts and improve position through consultative selling.
• Prospect for new business and grow territory size through sales calls.
• Maintain focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase value.
• Maintain an up-to-date view of the sales pipeline and coordinate quotations.
• Set pricing/service levels and coordinate information with local branches.
• Collaborate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to manage inventory.
• Travel within the assigned territory as required.
