Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc. is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager for the Foodology team. The role focuses on building long-term value-based relationships with accounts and penetrating for further business.

You will manage a home-based territory across New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Maine, traveling as needed to meet customers and optimize inventory, pricing, and service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in Food Ingredients industry.
• Experience in pharma or nutraceutical ingredients valued.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred).
• Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.
• Proven competitive drive and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Improve position within accounts using consultative selling at all levels.
• Prospect for new business by sales calls to grow territory.
• Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services.
• Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.
• Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintain/coordinate quotations.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure inventory levels.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety.
