Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to join our Foodology team. This home-based role covers a multi-state territory in the Northeast and requires building long-term, value-based relationships with accounts while driving revenue growth.

You will conduct consultative selling, manage the sales pipeline, coordinate with local teams, and ensure customer satisfaction. A 3+ year background in food ingredients sales and a Bachelor's degree are preferred; travel within territory

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in Food Ingredients (raw chemicals) industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; technical science/chemistry preferred.
• Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.
• Strong business savvy and understanding of manufacturers, distributors, end-users.
• Listening and problem-solving skills to overcome objections.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term, value-based relationships with accounts across the territory.
• Prospect for new business with consultative, high-level selling.
• Focus on customer retention and overall satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services.
• Maintain a clear, updated view of the sales pipeline.
• Set pricing, service levels, and coordinate quotations to support branches.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations on inventory.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety for self and colleagues.
