Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Business Operations Senior Associate within the Institutional group to partner with senior leadership on high-priority strategic challenges. You will structure problems, build financial models, and translate data into executive recommendations shaping product and segment strategy.

The role focuses on Institutional product, GTM strategy, and continuous improvement of processes, with a remote-first, in-person surge culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or product strategy with ownership of end-to-end strategic workstreams.
• Proven ability to build quantitative models and business cases that influenced executive decisions.
• Familiarity with institutional finance, capital markets, or crypto/digital assets markets.
• Track record of delivering clear written and verbal recommendations to senior stakeholders in fast-moving environments.
• Exposure to SQL and BI tools (e.g., Hex, Superset, Looker) or crypto analytics tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Etherscan) is a plus but not required.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Structure complex strategic problems for Coinbase's leadership and develop actionable recommendations backed by data.
• Build business cases and financial models informing Institutional product and go-to-market strategy.
• Develop understanding of competitive positioning and crypto landscape to sharpen recommendations.
• Design experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact across Institutional products.
• Own problems end-to-end from framing to implementation, not just slides.
• Strengthen processes, frameworks, and operational tooling to improve team capabilities.
