Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote‑first, cross‑functional team of SDETs ensuring quality and reliability across Cribl products. This hands‑on leadership role emphasizes building quality into the software lifecycle and driving agentic workflows from design to release.

You will partner with product and engineering leaders to define quality standards, improve test automation, and foster a customer‑first mindset while growing a high‑performing distributed team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics for products deployed in SaaS or customer managed environments.
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the changes required for agentic development.
• Strong understanding of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience with AI‑developed tests and workflows.
• BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data‑driven prioritization of the team's roadmap.
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root‑cause analysis, and escape‑rate reduction.
• Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for both people and agentic workflows.
• Foster a "customer first" mindset by continuously running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments.
• Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a remote‑first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows.
